Thank you so much for your comments. I never thought of it as being the guardian of her legacy. I love to hear from people who knew Mom or were in some way positively influenced or effected by her work.
Hello, Laura! Like you, I am the happy “keeper” of my amazing Mom’s legacy. It’s hard sometimes…what I wish ( as I suspect is also the case with you) is that she was here. So much I still have to say to her; so many questions I wish she was here to answer; so many inconsequential conversations we won’t have now. Like your Mom, mine had Alzheimer’s in her later years…a cruel loss of her well before she passed. I wanted to tell you that your mother made a difference in my life (not just the recipes, but also her wit and humor) and by being the guardian of her legacy, so do you.

Years ago I caught your mom on an episode of Donahu where she told the story of how she found the missing ingredient of big bucketin the sky chicken. I tried it and it was delicious. I’ve forgotten the full recipe. Any chance of getting it again?
