SIMPLE CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM TOPPING

SIMPLE CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM TOPPING

By Gloria Pitzer, as seen in her self-published cookbook, Gloria Pitzer’s Mostly 4-Ingredient Recipes (Secret RecipesTM, St. Clair, MI; April 1986, p. 6).

INGREDIENTS:

4½-oz box instant chocolate pudding powder

¾ cup light corn syrup

5.3-oz (small size) can Pet Evaporated Milk

¼ cup water

INSTRUCTIONS:

In medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, beat dry pudding powder with corn syrup until smooth. Gradually beat in Pet Milk and the water, a little at a time until smooth.

Cover and let stand at room temperature 15 minutes, before spooning over scoops of ice cream. Makes 2 cups of topping. Keep refrigerated in covered jar to us in 2 weeks.
