SHARE-A-LEASE BROWNIES

INGREDIENTS:
2 ounces (2 squares) unsweetened, solid, baking chocolate
1/3 cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup chopped walnuts, optional
INSTRUCTIONS:
Melt chocolate and butter. Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs about 2 minutes on medium speed of electric mixer. Gradually add in sugar. Beat in chocolate mixture and vanilla. Mix in flour mixture. (Add nuts if you wish.)
Spread batter evenly over bottom of a greased, 8-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until it tests done. Cool in pan. Dust in powdered sugar or frost in my Fudge Icing (see Index.) Cut into 2-inch squares. Makes 16 pieces.
