PISTACHIO PUDDING FROSTING

By Gloria Pitzer, as seen in… Gloria Pitzer’s Mostly 4-Ingredient Recipes (Secret RecipesTM, St. Clair, MI; April 1986, p. 67).

INGREDIENTS:

1½ cups cold milk

1 envelope Dream Whip powder

4-oz box instant pistachio pudding powder [or banana]

½ tsp almond extract

INSTRUCTIONS:

In 1½-qt deep, narrow, mixing bowl, [with electric mixer] beat milk and Dream Whip powder, on high speed, until thick and smooth. Spread over cooled cake. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate until time to serve. Serves 6 to 8.
