Happy November! This is the perfect time for curling up in a cozy afghan. Crocheting was one of Mom’s favorite hobbies. Here’s her idea for an afghan made from “Granny Triangles” rather than traditional “Granny Squares”, similar to her Amish Windmill Quilt Pattern, Hand-Sewn.

GRANNY TRIANGLE AFGHAN

Triangle Granny – Half Of A Granny Square
How To Steam Press Granny Square Garments
INSTRUCTIONS:
Using the directions in our Granny Square How-To Folder… You can put together a two-color triangle afghan, as shown in the [below] illustration. Prepare all of the triangles as directed on the front page…

And then single-crochet the triangle pieces together on the wrong side with the light color. Steam press the completed aphgan, as the folder directs for steam pressing the garments, which keeps the aphgan from losing shape or stretching out of shape.
