PEANUT BUTTER PIE

PEANUT BUTTER PIE

By Gloria Pitzer, as seen in… Gloria Pitzer’s Mostly 4-Ingredient Recipes (Secret RecipesTM, St. Clair, MI; April 1986, p. 7).

INGREDIENTS:

2 boxes (3½-oz each) butterscotch pudding (NOT instant)

3 cups chocolate milk

½ cup peanut butter

9-inch baked and cooled pie shell (or crumb crust)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Put pudding powder and milk through blender, on high speed, until smooth. Pour into 2-qt saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, on medium-high [heat]. Stir in peanut butter until melted and smooth. Turn into prepared pie shell. Chill several hours or overnight, before cutting to serve 6-8 people. Garnish servings with whipped cream and chopped peanuts. Drizzle lightly with caramel [sauce], too.
