CHRISTMAS TREE BOOT ORNAMENT

CHRISTMAS TREE BOOT ORNAMENT

By Gloria Pitzer, as seen in her self-published folder, Granny Square How To (Secret RecipesTM, St. Clair, MI; Fall 1986, p. 2).

[NOTE: As always, I’m asking only for proper credit if you care to re-share this.]

INGREDIENTS/ITEM NEEDS:

3-round squares*, using 4-ply yarn and “H” hook

[*See: Granny Square How To]

INSTRUCTIONS:

Fold square in half and, beginning at what will be the “toe”, work SC stitch in every space all the way around but work 3 SC sts at corner that will be the “heel” of the boot. Then work only on single edge to make the opening with 6 chain sts at very end for a loop with which to hang it on the Christmas tree. [See below for Abbreviations Key.]
