CARAMEL APPLES – Inspired by Disney’s (Los Angeles, CA)

INGREDIENTS:
14-oz caramels
1 cup mini marshmallows
2 TB peanut butter
2 TB water
8 apples, on wooden skewers
finely crushed pecans or peanuts (optional*)
INSTRUCTIONS:
In top of a double boiler, over simmering water, melt [together] caramels, marshmallows and peanut butter until smooth. Stir in the water, as listed. Use skewers to dip apples in caramel mixture, to coat evenly.
[*Optional: At once, (after caramel dip) roll in finely crushed pecans or peanuts.]
