A BRIDE’S DESSERT

A BRIDE’S DESSERT

By Gloria Pitzer, as seen in… My Cup Runneth Over and I Can’t Find My Mop (Secret RecipesTM, St. Clair, MI; Dec. 1989)

INGREDIENTS:

1 prepared Share-A-Lease Cheesecake

2 boxes (4-serving size, each) “Cook & Serve” chocolate pudding, prepared per box directions

9-oz tub Cool Whip, thawed

12-oz pkg. chocolate covered peanuts

10-oz jar maraschino cherries

INSTRUCTIONS:

First, prepare our Share-A-Lease Cheesecake, as directed. While it’s baking, prepare the “Cook & Serve” pudding as boxes direct.

As soon as the cheesecake comes out of the oven, spread the warm, prepared pudding evenly over the top of the cheesecake. Then refrigerate it several hours or until completely cold. At that time, smother the top of it in the Cool Whip…

Then take a hammer and pound the chocolate covered peanuts into bits and sprinkle these evenly over the top of the Cool Whip layer. Finally, drain cherries and slice each in half, scattering these evenly over the top. Return dessert to refrigerator until time to serve. Serves 8 to 10 adequately or 2 tactlessly!
